VALENTINE CHALLANGE FAILED OR PASSED?
VALENTINE CHALLENGE; FAILED OR PASSED?
Princess Francisca Chimezie
The spirit and excitement of valentine, a one day in every year always regarded special for celebration of love could be compelling to the extent that many feel pressured to do something to be part of the show. Yea a show because many chooses this special day to engage in a lot of mischief just to feel belonged while others choose it as a day to pepper those they feel need to be peppered for whatever reason. A lot of people depict falsehood and fake life just to create the needed impression to their audience. So many relationships has been judged by those involved by comparating what is portrayed on the social media to what is obtainable to their real life situation which could be even more real and genuine than what others are pretending to enjoy on the social network.
Can I ask you? To what extent did you try impressing people on this valentine occasion? Did you have to put up a lie or false posts so as to make others feels you have it all together while indeed it’s the opposite? What exactly did you gain after the put up show? Applaud? Likes and comments? Were you indeed contented and satisfied momentarily or continuously? Do you have to start thinking of the next move to keep your audience believing on your make-believe of a happy life? What about the compromises? Will it come to hunt you in months and probably years to come or you think you can sweep it under the carpet? How about your fake friends that spur you on only to make mockery of you behind knowing that you are like them? Or the innocent citizens you put under tension for not being in any relationship just by believing that what you portrayed was real and that they are missing a happy life because they are not yet in any relationship? Oh, you think you were just having fun, possibly trying to also give your self a cover from the reality you are acting living in? But do you know that your single action can trigger the wrong cord and send a lot of uninformed people into emotional trauma and wrong decisions. Of course, you might have not seen it in that light but you have to grow to know that every action gives a reaction as a response either passively or actively. Think about it.
My advice to you is to stop allowing your life to be controlled by seasonal occurrences. Rather build a life of value and contentment that doesn’t have to push you under pressure to create impressions to people who rarely really cares.
